Irvine Company’s retail centers are essential components of the communities that they serve. With the current rate of change in the retail industry, we are embarking upon a reinvestment program to update and improve each of our neighborhood and community centers. These improvements will ensure that our centers are well positioned to attract best-in-class retailers to serve residents for years to come.
Since opening in 1975, Parkview Center has provided important services and goods to the residents of Turtle Rock, University Park and other surrounding neighborhoods. Anchored by Zion Mart, Parkview Center includes 73,000 square feet of retail and office space.
What's Ahead for Parkview Center
The reinvestment in Parkview Center began last year with the relocation of long-time merchant Irvine Veterinary Services to a new location within the center. A new gas station is currently under construction, and site work is underway for a new building with a drive-through Starbucks and Cathay Bank.
Parkview Center’s architecture is currently being updated and will incorporate all buildings in order to achieve a cohesive design. The new Starbucks and Cathay Bank building will be complemented by an expansive outdoor patio with comfortable seating, large umbrellas, lush landscaping, power outlets for electronic devices, wifi, and music.
The reimaging of Parkview is intended to evoke the agrarian roots of our community. This is reflected in the new farmhouse-inspired building aesthetic, traditional detailing, relaxing plazas, and warm colors, creating an enduring design that will serve the community long into the future.
For the past several months, Irvine Company has been completing underground improvements to utilities and other infrastructure. The construction of the new gas station has begun and will be completed in early 2020. Starbucks and Cathay Bank are slated to open mid-2020 with updates to the remaining buildings continuing into 2020.
